Dispute Avenues
- Realistically, if you have come to this page, most likely the “grab a cuppa and let’s talk about it starting point” has not had the outcome you were seeking.
Your Dispute Resolution Avenues fall into 2 main categories:
- Internal (within your Retirement Community
- External (Government and other organisations)
The table below gives you a quick overview
INTERNAL
EXTERNAL
INTERNAL
- RESIDENTS COMMITTEE. If your community has Residents Committee they can assist. Seek the Resident Committee Secretary or Chairperson to consider your next steps.
- COMMUNITY/VILLAGE MANAGER. They are required by law to enable you to submit a Dispute Claim and have it investigated within your community. Ask your Manager for the documents that outlines the Dispute management process with all the associated forms. If you submit a Dispute Claim the Manager/Operator MUST (by law) respond to your claim within 72 hours.
